Resilio Active Everywhere 6

Resilio Active Everywhere 6 introduces a number of new features including Enterprise Hybrid Work Job that enables VPN-less access to remote network shares, Advanced events analytics, and end user Agents authentication via Active Directory, Entra ID or Okta.

Upgrades are not supported

You cannot upgrade your existing Active Everywhere deployment to Resilio Active Everywhere 6.0 - a clean installation is required.

  • Enterprise Hybrid Work Job
    A highly scalable data transferring workflow enabling VPN-less access to SMB shares in Windows domain environments. For more information, see Enterprise Hybrid Work Job.

  • Synchronous File Locking Synchronous file locking uses a centralized locking mechanism to prevent access conflicts and ensure data consistency across distributed environments. See synchronous file locking.

  • Advanced events Analytics
    A new, robust framework for collecting and analyzing events from Agents with improved filtering and search capabilities. For more information, see Analytics.

  • Agent UI updates
    More streamlined interface for improved user experience. Better insight into Job runs and their performance.

  • Tracker connection encryption
    TLS-encrypted connections between Agents and the Tracker server and between the Tracker server and the Management Console for improved security. For more information, see Tracker connection encryption.

Upgrades from previous 6.0 versions

After upgrading from a previous 6.0 version, your end-user Agents will stop functioning until you upload and apply a new license. This is due to changes in the licensing model and the introduction of user packages.

  • System requirements update: Active Everywhere 6.0 Agents require Windows 11 x64 or macOS 26 (Tahoe).
  • Added support for the new Enterprise Hybrid Work Job, featuring user impersonation and end-user Agent authentication via Active Directory, Entra ID, or Okta.
  • Updated the User Agent interface and backend.
  • Implemented file locking on networked storage devices.
  • Support for file locking on macOS End-user Agent.
  • Improved handling of file and folder renames.
  • Added encrypted connections to the Tracker server.
  • Fixed an issue where Archiving job runs could get stuck when workers crashed.
  • Fixed an issue where interrupted Archiving job runs did not restart after a server shutdown.

  • Improved validation of job paths on Windows; invalid symbols and formats are now rejected (for example, question marks and invalid UNC paths).
  • Fixed an issue where job profiles could be deleted while still being used by a job.
